This sweet chili garlic sauce acts as a perfect companion to appetizers.
Imagine an amazing Snack without a side dipping sauce. This Thai Sweet Chili Sauce comes from the family of Thai Cuisine & is very common in Thailand. This Thai dip is famous for its quirky and smacking taste. This recipe is super easy and can be made instantly. It is a must have and must know condiment recipe. It takes a maximum of 10 minutes to make and can be stored in your refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. It is an insanely tasty dip for snacks like potato cheese sticks, chicken fries, fish fingers etc.
There are a lot of variations to the recipe over the internet. Traditionally it is made with Sriracha or the Indonesian Sambal Oelek. Sambal Oelek is basically a classic Thai chili paste used for cooking. It is prepared with a variety of ground chili peppers, vinegar and salt. This paste is used for seasoning a lot of dishes like the noodle dishes in Thai Cuisine & is a basic ingredient to a lot of Thai & Indonesian Sauces.
We have used chili flakes to substitute Sambal Oelek. You can also use dried red chilies.

- 1 Cup(s) Water Use Medium & Small Sized Onions Only
- 1/4 Cup(s) Vinegar
- 1/4 Cup(s) Sugar
- 2 Tbsp(s) Corn Flour
- 1 Tspn(S) Chilli Flakes Used Dried Red Chili Or Red Chili Paste Instead
- 1 Tbsp(s) Crushed Garlic
- 1/2 Tbsp(s) Salt As Per Taste
- 1/4 Tspn(S) Chili Powder

- In a pan add all the ingredients as shown in the video above.
- Whisk the mixture properly till there are no lumps left.
- Boil this mixture till it becomes thick.
- Let this mixture cool down to room temperature. Sauce is ready now to be served with your favorite snacks.
