Instructions
For the Cake
  1. Heat the oven to 350 Degrees F. Line two 9-inch pans with a thin dusting of a cooking spray or baking spray with flour combined & keep it aside.
  2. Take a medium-sized bowl & pour in the first set of ingredients i.e., sugar, flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder & salt. Stir them well.
  3. From the first set of ingredients, add eggs, milk, oil & vanilla to the bowl. Mix them well for 3 minutes with an electric mixer.
  4. Stir in the boiling water in to the prepared batter. Now pour the batter evenly in to the two prepared pans.
  5. Keep the pans in the preheated oven & bake for 30-35 minutes. Use a toothpick to check if cake is evenly baked – a toothpick inserted in cake will come out clean.
  6. Allow the cakes to cool for 10 minutes before removing them from pans to cool completely.
For Frosting
  1. Now use the second set of ingredients to make the frosting. Cream the butter with mixer until it is light & fluffy.
  2. Stir in the cocoa powder & confectioners’ sugar to the butter. Now add milk & vanilla alternately to it. Now beat the mixture to a spreading consistency.
  3. Split the cooked cake horizontally to form layers. Cover the top of each layer with the frosting and stack them onto a serving plate.
  4. Frost the outside of the cake evenly & serve.
