Batter Preparation:
  1. In a bowl add gram flour, cumin powder, carom seeds, red chilli powder, salt, turmeric powder & lemon juice. Crack in the egg, ginger paste, garlic paste and add enough water to make the batter of coating consistency. Mix it well. The batter is ready.
Main preparation:
  1. Take the boneless fish, clean it and cut it into cubes.
  2. Marinate the fish pieces with the batter prepared above & let it rest for 30 minutes to an hour.
  3. Meanwhile pre-heat the Vegetable oil in a pan for few minutes.
  4. When the oil is hot enough, deep fry the batter smeared fillets, few pieces at a time until crispy and golden on all side.
  5. Drain and place the fried fillets on an absorbent paper. Note: You can deep fry the fillets again just before serving till it is golden and crispy.
  6. Sprinkle Chaat masala over the crispy amritsari fish fry for enhanced flavours. Team up this succulent fillet of fish with lemon wedges, onion rings & Green chutney.
